The Golden Age ~ His Biography ~ Images ~ Facebook ~ Myspace ~ Contact Him
The author makes the reader acquainted with his good intentions.
There comes a time, – now and again in a man’s life, – when he is asked to reveal something of himself that would represent the sum effect of his creative thoughts and efforts hitherto, so as to erect a marble statue of his character within the minds of his contemporaries. It would be no tall order to commission the Sculptor to fashion a current rendition of his visage and to position it in the plaza of the Universal Mind, inviting on-lookers to gaze upon its mastery with objectivity, – in its true light. But, the individual wants his subjective view, so he shall have his own bust of Mister Hazelwood carved from the tools of his experience and placed within his own mind on whatever pedestal or nook best suits his personal taste. Behold! Let us not distract ourselves with my persona, as it were, and get to the heart of this phenomenon called creativity.
The body of work which you hold in your hands, like every other manifestation in our world, is the tangible result of a single creative thought – the perceptible effect of an imperceptible original cause. As I glance backward through the past period of six months, – characterized by this creative endeavor, – it is easy to consider it the most fruitful time of my life heretofore. All the ideas, resources, and assistance necessary to facilitate these works have seemed to flow naturally into my existence through the most extraordinarily synchronistic means. I can only attribute this ease in my affairs to living in alignment with my purpose – that which brings me insurmountable joy and satisfaction. If I was called to express my highest motivation at this moment, it would be the desire to demonstrate that every individual is engrained with a unique purpose, marked by his or her passions and abilities, and accompanied by the means by which it may be fulfilled. I could not be more convicted in this idea as I compile these final thoughts just before this, – my labor of love goes off to pressing. I am filled to my depths with gratitude that this is so, and remain ever mystified by the process of creation wherein its Benefactor continually chooses to remain anonymous.
Mr. J.S. Hazelwood
